Did you try toilet rolls? Most hamster love it but my hamster is picky and doesn't really like it! Do you have a plastic ball for him to run around in? Hamsters really love them! Also my hamster loves toilet paper he rips it up and makes his bed out of it! But he are the betterthings you can do! You can make a big maze with tons of food in the maze and his favorite at the end! Another thing is hide some food around on you and let your hamster crawl over you to get it! And every 3 days i give my hamster some cabbage and he loves it ( it might not sound much but now he always waits for me every 3 days ) Give him a cetain kind of treat every week or twice a week just not to much treats though! And another thing you can do is take out a the food and then let your hamster see the treat and then quickly hide it and he will try and find it ( just make sure it isn't really that hard) Anything with food would be fun for a hamster! Oh and another thing you could do is set up a playpen with some climbing toys and put some food in the play pen on the climbing stuff and he will enjoy having to try and find his food! Another thing you could do is instead of putting his food in the food dish is spinke it everywhere and it will be so much fun for you hamster because he will have to find his food! Hope this helped!
toilet paper rolls work good they like to chew and run thre them and make sure he has a wheel for exercise
throw a carrot or any other cold vegtable in there.
lol, they will be occupied for hours
or a old toliet paper roll.they will chew and chew
I had two girls hamsters and I bought them the Nylabone dog bone. They are for dogs but they are great for hamsters too. They are completely edible unlike rawhide no larger pieces for them to choke on. They have meat flavors which might not be good but they have a peanut butter one which my hamsters loved and they have a chocolate flavor. It helps for their teeth and is a toy. I put the peanut butter one in the cage and the two of them finished it in a week. They also have a food dish made of compressed alfalfa they can eat out of it and chew on it.
my guinea pig likes to chew on/ play tug- o-war/ wrestle with a toilet paper tube. make sure that there is no excess paper, or more importantly glue on it though. you can also hide food in it.
I make a play place. get some toilet paper rolls, a wheel and some kind of bed or igloo. Then put it on newspaper and play with your hamster there.
Homemade Hamster Toys

Do you want your hamster to have a fun toy(s) to play with? Then your in the right spot not only do you not have to pay alot but you get to make them yourself! Right from your home, using things from around the house!

Lets get started

picture #1

Tubes
You can make tubes by using paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls. You can simply hook them together like shown in picture #1. You can make as many tubes hooked togeather as you like. Once you get them together just tape and your done!
You may even want to make alot hooked together like a maze and have your hamster go through them.

Hamster House

Another thing you can make from cardboard is a house. All you need is 6 peices of cardboard cut out and tape or hot glue gun.
You can design it yourself, but you can look at my picture #2 and see how I have done it.
I did not give the size here, because the sizes of hamsters will vairy. But make sure you make the door the right size so the hamster can fit in the door and the house is the right size for the hamster.
You can see in the picture the dotted lines are where you cut.
Once you get all the pieces cut out you can tape or glue together.
You can decorate it if you want. But do not use paint for this, because most hamsters are probably going to chew it up. But don't worry you can always make another. I think it is good for them to chew it up. It is somthing for them to do. So they don't get bored. Or they might even make it a place where they sleep.
