This company has a lot of hospitals, they may have doctors for hamsters.
Sorry but b/c of the fact that hamsters are so cheap and so small that it makes them hard to work on, there are no "hamster vets". If you wanted to you could take it to a normal vet... like where you'd take your dog or cat, but there isn't anything else.
Sorry I had to be the one to tell you this.
Where in Texas? Its a rather big state. :)
Look in the phone book for exotic animal vets. They generally specialize in rodent, ferret, bird, lizard, etc health. That's where my hamster and ferrets go.
Also, your closest Petco store may be able to help you. Mine has a sign posted near the rodents with the contact information with their recommended area vet.
Texas is a pretty big place. I would suggest that you pick up your local yellow pages and phone the various vets and ask them. They don't often advertise that they will treat rodents and small animals.
look in your local phonebook for exotic vets, they are for rodents.
