he might be allergic to something in his cage. Try a new brand of bedding and food. But don't use Pine or Cedar. Also, wash his cage the next time you clean it. If that doesn't work, try taking him to a vet. Hope I helped and good luck.

Most rodents are allergic to pine or cedar beeding and they can also cause respitory problems. This happened with my rat.
