Try holding out treats for her and letting her sniff you without touching her directly--after a few days of this, she might be more friendly. If you ever get another pet, though, it's a good idea to handle it first (at the place you got it from) to make sure it doesn't bite.
Hamsters vary a lot in personality--some rodents are more friendly than not, but hamsters tend to lean a little towards the anti-social side. It doesn't mean there aren't any friendly hamsters, it just means that it can be more difficult to gain a hamster's trust than, say, a gerbil or rat.
give her time to get used to you -she will
you should kick it and injure it than she'll have to let you pick her up.
hey. i have a hampster 2. (Mustard) and what u may need 2 do is get some kind of glove and pick her up with that, so u dont get hurt, but u can still bond! i did that with Mu, and she's good now!

from personal experience, i know that all hamsters are different. my hamster was pretty much one of my best friends, and she never bit me. but just make sure your hamster has enough time in her rolly ball thing that she can run around in, cuz that will get her more happier. but if that dosnt work, then just get used to the fact that you probably have a hamster that dosnt like people that much [my friends hamster was like that]
hamsters are pretty good pets.on day one when you got itfrom the pet store and you pick her up if she bit you you should n't of gotten it because she bit you i think you need another hamster that will not bite you and about her smelling like pee try cleaning her cage my kids always had hamster and they never bit then thats not a good sign a don't want to scare you but is the true get another one. one that you can play with and pick good luck.
Hamsters aren't antiscocial pets at all, as long as the babies have been handled from a young age they are very friendly, more friendly than other small rodents like gerbils. This is where pet shops fall down as they don't handle them enough.
Even the most vicious hamster can be tamed it just takes time so don't give up! Here are some tips that worked for me:
1. Before you try to touch her wash your hands thoroughly then rub them in her sawdust so you smell like her cage not food or anything else she might like to bite.
2. At first don't try to pick her up, just put your hand in her cage and let her come to you. If she is good give her a treat like a bit of chopped apple or carrot.
3. Don't wake her up to play with her as this will make her feel unsafe in her home, just play with her when she is up and about.
4. When you try and pick her up, do it low down or over a sofa or a table so if she jumps she won't get hurt. To pick her up scoop her onto the palm of your hand then put your other hand on the top to make sure she's safe.
5. If she is really bad you could try wearing gloves the first few times.
Once she learns you are not going to hurt her she will become very friendly, it may just take a while.
She might be smelly as she needs cleaning out. Do this once a week and wash the corner she pees in to stop a smelly residue from building up. If you are keeping her very clean and she still smells she may have a bladder infection or wet tail which is very serious so get her to a vet - if she is ill and in pain, this may be why she is biting you.
Hope everything works out for you. Good Luck.
well frist thing is to do for a new hamster dont take them out of the cage to let them explore there home!
and afther 24hours take them out and than bond with them!
