my freind brought like every toy imagnable in the store for her hamster right...,. like tunnles a ball a weel hoiuses... and her hammy is just bored all day and we even got wood chews and EVERYTHING and it doesnt even like it when you hold her also she never chews wood she always chews on the cage bars and she has a huge cage with alot of toys and shes healty i just dont get it can anyone help us

maybe the hamster is trying to attract your attention. Do give it some attention and try to pick it up to show that you care. :)

Have you watched the hamster at night? Did you know that they are nocturnal? He is probably playing with stuff at night and you have no clue. I had 3 hamster, and had it not been that the wheel was squeaky, I would not have known that they used it. They do get up during the day to eat sometimes and of course go to the bathroom, however, they are up more at night time. Check him out later in the evening.like ten or eleven. Also, if he is really new, and really little, give him time and he will start to be more active.
Tell her to get another Hamster. The poor thing is bored and lonely. They are social creatures and it needs to have a friend to be with...to clean it and to sleep with. Also some of them are high maintenance and probably it wasn't held much as a babe...so It might just be it wasn't hand tamed and is more on the WILD side . Hopefully you can help her figure this out..I know it can be frustrating when "new pets go bad"
Probably the best solution would be to get another hamster, but you MUST get a hamster from the same litter, or else they will fight. I had a hamster who chewed on the cage bars whenever she was hungry, maybe that will help. Feed her when she chews on the bars.
This is for ur friend to do.Shes probably just scared you need to get her used to ur smell .put a hand towel in her cage that rubbed ur hands all over so it smells like you.she will smell it and probably be very weary u might want to rub the towel with ur scent every other day ..when she get used to ur scent(she wil probably sleep under it). start trying to interact with her bye just setting ur hand in the cage and leaving it there for a min or soo so she can come over and investigate it.do this until she will sit on ur hand while feeding her.then trying lifting ur hand and if shes calm about it u can bring her out of the cage and hold her closer to u so she dont jump..then start peting her start at the back of her tiny little head and work ur way back ...it should work ..
