Well, I would buy a trap at the hardware store that doesn't kill them, or hurt them, just something to capture them. You should put some food in every room of the house, and then check on the rooms every once in a while. When he was hurt, if he had a limp or something he wouldn't be able to move very far, so just stay calm!
p.s. Sorry about the funeral and goos luck!
just set up some food bowls for your hamster.. are you sure its still in your room? Eventually you'll find it.
try putting some food down and leave the room but look through the door then when the hamster comes sowly open the door and throw a jumper over him/her!
Did you put out an APB? An ALL PET BULLETIN?
keep looking if you cant find her make sure there is no posible way she can get out keep your dog out and she will hopefully come out put down some food so she can eat and you will probally find her soon also look around the house to make sure she didnt already get out of the room
I had the same thing happen to me and I ran down to the local feed and grain store (or go to a hardware store) and bought a have a hart live trap and captured him in no time! In fact several of them have escaped over the years and using the have a hart trap with thier favorite food works everytime!
Do this set up in the room she is most likely hiding in (probably your bedroom):
Place a bucket or high walled box in the center of the room
Make a staircase out of books leading from the floor to the top of the bucket/box
Put a small wad of peanut butter in the bottom of the bucket/box
Here is why this will work--hamsters love peanut butter and can smell it from very far away and once she gets in the bucket or box the walls will be too smooth for her to climb up.
Use a treat that the hamster enjoys such as food or them chew sticks and set it in a visable spot where you can watch to see if it is there.
Then slowly remove possible items that she could be hiding under.
Best of luck=[
look in all the conrners of your room. and check behind every little object in the room. and put food EVERY where and hide and just watch! i know you will find her.
Get a bucket and put lots of bedding and food in the bottom, then use some books to make steps up the side of the bucket and put some food on them and around the bucket too. Your hamster will smell the food and follow the trail up hte books and fall into the bucket. Don't worry about it getting hurt because the bedding will cushion it. Leave it there for a few days and overnight and it should come back. It works, i did it!!
Relax and do what they all said about leaving food. that happened to me and we found her after a bit
You could try just leaving the cage in the room she is in and some treats inside. She might then find her own way back and go to sleep in her nest like usual. You just have to make sure that the room is dark and quiet otherwise she won't come out.
put the cage on the floor with door open in room it lives in spread food all over near the cage, and hope it comes back, mine have so far one got out last night and my cat helps me find them she is so good with them and never even tries to hurt them, how cool is that??
