Having more than one hamster?

I am getting a hamster but my brother wants one 2 so do u think they will get a long the species is russian black bear.
Answers:
Syrian hamsters will NOT do well together--they're likely to squabble, and may even fight to the death.
Dwarf hamsters, on the other hand, do well in pairs.
I'm not sure whether a russian black bear is a Syrian or a Dwarf variety, but if it's a Dwarf, you can get 2 hamsters. Just be sure that they're both male or both female.
if one of the ones you are getting is a male. def. not.
i had 2 hamsters and i had them both in one cage one killed the other i would put them in different cages make Sher they are the same species or they will kill each other
well male and femlae will breed and male to male and female to female should be fine but when u do get them i would get them at the same time at the same place cause if u don't most likely when u buy one then 2 days latter u get another one thye will most likely fight
Have Fun!
no just take turns with the one hamster
well as long as you have a large cage or if you have two cages by the way the best cages in my opinion are critter trail and S.A.M I used critter trail for all my hamsters and i have had quite a few the sad thing is they dont live very long opposed to other rodents like rats or chinchillas
no get 2 cages, they are solitary animals.
