here are some of the vocal expression from hamster and the mean of the sound they make:
Hissing ---- Threatening sound made when attacking or during courtship
Screeching ---- Sound of defense and expression of great fear when threatened by an enemy or predator.
Teeth chattering ---- Aggression; an urgent warning addressed to an enemy.
Squealing ---- Aggression; accompanies minor fighting.
Growling, muttering ---- Aggression; uttered by the males after copulation.
Squeaking ---- Sound made by baby hamsters when they feel abandoned ..
Hope that u can use it to help you know more better of ur hamster
that is wierd and dont worry i bet she/he is better by now and if they are still making those noises then ask a vet or your mom or dad
well if it shavings i wouldn't use it for such a same hamster but you can buy this one that is a little softer it recycled paper and maybe because sence she is so young she is just scared!!
This screeching noise means hammy is aggravated.
Hamsters make low noises to talk, and sometimes even to threaten or warn that they're in a bad mood. If he doesn't make it while in the cage, then chances are, it doesn't want to be held out of the cage and wants you to know so.
she might be allergic to the new bedding. my hamster was, and we switched back to the old bedding type and she was fine.
Go get the same kind of bedding you had been using and see if it makes her better.
If it doesn't, ask you parents to take you %26 her to the vet..
Sometimes Hamsters squeak when they are in distress and it could also be their mating call. But on the other hand some hamster are more vocal than others. I wouldn't get to hung up on it too much but if it continues go to a pet store close by and i bet they would be glad to help you out.
my sis had 2 hamsters and your supposed to change its bedding once a week
if you clean it with water too like i have to do they may have gotten the water on them and they hate cold so they make noises. it could have dried but it is still cold to them. or maybe their area is cold. they couldnt like the litter you used. i would put lots of like things that dont touch the litter so the hamster can sleep.
Well i would say because shes so young that she still makes baby noises. However the noise could also be that she was scared or a little upset. When she makes those noises just put her back in her cage and get her a bit later.
I think I know what you mean! My hamster used to do that - its sort of like a whining and almost sounds like a pigeon sometimes. I took her t the vet and they checked her over and reassure me nothing was wrong. They said that some hamsters, like guinea-pigs, talk. Like, they are trying to communicate! Maybe take her to the vet and get her checked over - I hope everything is fine!
Good Luck!
