Hamster question??

Is changing the cAge,loving it, and feeding it all you got to do to keep a healthy and happy hammie? If not, what else?

What your doing sounds great, make sure the cleaning of the cage is on a weekly basis though. Its important to keep the cage very clean, and ensure it a very big cage, Big cages equals a happy hamster.
Make sure you have daily contact with your hamster and that you are giving him exercise outside of his cage every day. If you have not already got one buy a hamster exercise ball for him to run around thr house in.
That is about the gist of it.
Yes, you also have to spend enough time holding it, and maybe letting it roll around in a hamster ball outside of it's cage. I also would put an empty toliet paper roll, and tissue in my hamster's cage. He would chew up the tissue and use it for bedding, and he'd crawl through the toliet paper roll and also chew on it!
pretty much
that may seem pretty simple and easy
but hey! taking care of hamsters is... fairly easy
just make sure the hamster has fresh food/water every day
clean the cage at least every other two - three/four days. even tho some ppl say "once a week", if u wait an entire week (or longer) the cage is gonna smell REALLY bad and b REALLY hard 2 clean
also, what i did 4 my hamster was create a secondary area where my hamster can explore (when i am watching her) and not feel confined 2 her cage
also, if u want a hamster that is gonna love u and like being handled, get the hamster as a baby, that way it can grow with up and get used 2 being handled, otherwise the hamster will bite whenever u try 2 pick it up
hope that helped!
that all you have to do but you never leave it for a month or else the hamster will get lonely even if you have someone is taking care of it ot loves you only
that's most of it, but you also have to give it a wheel so it's getting excercise, and feed it some fruits/veggies everyday, make sure you wash tehm. don't give your hamster too much or else it'll diarrhea.
Well, yeah.. that's the basic. However, keep in mind that a hamster definition of happy may not be our definition of happy. Just because you keep your hamster "happy" with good food, plenty of available water, and lots of friendly cuddling, doesn't mean that their goal isn't to escape.
Hamsters live to escape. If you had a cage the size of a football field, your hamster would STILL try to escape. So don't think that your hamster will be happy and content that you can leave the cage door open. :-)
I personally like to add things to my hamsters' cages to give them something new to think about and chew on, knaw on, walk over, or ignore. One of our hamsters has an amazing habitrail maze which my husband and kids love to switch around from time to time. It really annoys the hamster, but it keeps her preoccupied!
you have to let him out in his ball. hamsters love to get out and run around most of the time.
