My hamster died yesterday, he had a messed up penis, like it was all red and purple, and it looked like it was gonna fall of, he was like three, but why did he live so long, why did he die, and what was wrong with his penis?

sometimes at old age hamsters have urinary problems. like my poor thing couldnt hold his pee, maybe its a similar problem...
