My hamster won't eat its a new hamster but it won't eat is it sick or something?

No, it just needs to get used to its new enviorment that's all, when I first got my hamster he didn't eat for hours, he went right to sleep, then he explored his new home, just give it a chance and it'll eat when it's hungry.
It's probably really nervous,all you can do at the moment is leave a big bowl of food out for it and put it in a quiet room.If you have done that,and it's still not eating take it to the Vet.
By the way,are you feeding it the appropriate food?, Hamsters only really like nuts,dried peas and corn.
well, maybe your hamster doesn't like that type of food. pellets aren't really popular with hamsters, so try getting a bag of mixed seeds. they really like sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. she's probably not used to her new environment. by the way, hamsters are nocturnal and they do everything at night, so your hamster will eat eventually at night. if it really worries you that much, take your hamster to petco or a small animal vet. hope your hammy eats!
